Does it have to be a lower case letter? Can it be a lowercase character, like ` or - or = or / ?

ok, it looks like the filter is really dumb. However a symbol won't pass it.

However a non-printed character, in a Vb Code like [quote ] or [color ], will count as the "at least one lowercase letter". (As will, apparently, the contents of a quote)
