The ads are annoying, no doubt. But the real problem IMHO is that the screen jumps when they load. If the window where they loaded just existed from the get-go, and then the ad popped into it, that wouldn't be as big a deal. But having the screen jiggle around every time an ad manages to load is visually frustrating and hard on the eyes. It also makes the TiVo feel clunky and slow, like it's struggling to catch up. I don't see how they got out of testing with this system.
