Their was also their Saturday morning cartoon. Which was trying to be like the Partridge Family.
The talking bird or whatever...
They can haul him around stuffed like the dog in Scrubs.
The 90210 reboot is actually going into its fifth season.
Not too shabby.
Sorry, but if the original series or movie was part of my youth then I give three thumbs down to reboots.
That is, if the Partridge Family lived without any adults in a treehouse (you never saw the Bradys inside their house - for that matter, you never saw the house; in fact, in one episode, they had a TV delivered to the treehouse, so it must have been wired for electricity somehow). I'll overlook the fact that Greg and Cindy went to the same school as they don't say how old Greg is (I don't think he ever drives a car), and they might all go to a K-8 school.
They were on The Newlywed Game; in a practice round at home, Jan and Philip were asked, "What is the husband's favorite part of the chicken?"; she said, "Thighs and breast," but he said, "Face," because he couldn't bring himself to say "thighs and breast" in public.
IIRC, it was just Carol that wanted Marcia to get married first so badly; it was done so they could have a flashback to the original show's episode when Jan was extremely jealous of Marcia.
No Maureen McCormack
But a young Johnathon Taylor Thomas.
So who else besides me is gonna watch this?
I watched all six episodes many years ago. I won't be making that mistake again.
I think the "Partridge Family" connection is that the producers kept thinking they could turn the Brady Bunch into a musical family. The original series had several songs, and the animated series and variety show had songs in every episode.
The problem was that the only ones who were actual singers were Robert Reed and Florence Henderson. The kids were not hired for their singing or dancing ability, and boy, it shows. In the Partridges, everyone except Shirley Jones and David Cassidy were dubbed.
And for more 1970s TV hell:
I knew Filmation's animation was bad, but wow, this is low even for them. Not only is everyone doing the endless loop but they don't even cleanly edit the loops together. The background and characters jump when the loop restarts. And it's not even all new animation. They just put the Brady kids over the Archies:
I should add that for anyone who hasn't seen the 90's movie of The Brady Bunch, it's a fantastic movie and very well done. The two follow ups weren't so good.
I haven't seen it since it was in theaters but I remember really enjoying it.
two follow ups? Oh, Brady Bunch in the White House.. I'm pretty sure I never saw that.
(noo, a tvtropes link!! I managed to skim only that one and another one it linked to.. whew.. I can be on that site for hours.)
aadam101, you know by tattling on the two follow up movies, you're really just tattling on yourself. By tattling on those movies, you're just telling us that you're a tattletale. Now is that the tale you want to tell?
I love that movie. Marcia and Jan were groovy chicks - all hep in far out ways.
