I am one of those that is struggling with 6.2 on my virgin hughes sd80.
I have an hr10-250 that I caked a while ago with 6.3b. I was just experimenting on this box which i never activated. (I used a 40gig drive, its all i had at that time). Anyway, could I use this drive with 6.3b in the sd80 to get back locals? If 6.3b will work i would even pay the $20 and get a card for this one since I already have HD on the account. (naturally i would recake to a larger drive if this version 6.3b will update). Thanks for any help.

    No.

I had a unit with 6.3f. It also suffered the loss of locals, and required 6.4a to fix it. It is a reasonable assumption if 6.3f does not get locals, neither will 6.3b.

I wish they'd just change the damned guide data back. :(
