I'm done with this show. Got through half of tonight's new episode and deleted it. I can not stand that Josh Gad character and he's like 70% of the show.

Tonight's episode was the most depressing 30 minutes of sitcom I've ever seen. Not only did we not laugh once, we were unlaughing. It was sad, nothing funny happened, and there were a fair number of scenes where the writers left the characters feeling miserable (which didn't do wonders for us viewers). What were they thinking?

I had no idea this was going to be the Josh Gad show. Too bad he can't carry it. I felt like I was watching a comedy act where the comedian knows he's bombing.

    SP deleted. Post haste.

Ummmm...guys this is the thread for LAST WEEK'S episode.

I haven't seen this episode yet, but, after reading that Gad was one of the creators of this show, I had the feeling he was going to wind up with the most screen time. He had WAY too much over the top screen time in ep1. Ep2 was better in that he was somewhat toned down. But if what you say is true about ep3, I will probably be gone too.

For those who is saying that Josh Gad plays the same character every time, he's going to be in the new Steve Jobs movie, playing Steve Wozniack.

    Aston Kutcher plays Steve Jobs.

Sorry about that. Luckily it's a sitcom without a dramatic arch, so I don't have to beat myself up about spoiling, but nonetheless, you are correct, and I should be threadcrapping in the proper week's thread.

And it's quite possible he'll rock in that role. I have nothing against the actor. He's just too over the top for this role, and is way too intense for a 30 minute ensemble sitcom.

I agree. He's way too over the top. Not really that funny.

We saw an ad and the bit they ran was so un-funny and un-interesting, my wife and I just looked at each other and said "is that really the BEST joke in the episode?"

Finally watched ep 3. Too much Josh Gad again. He was back to being over the top. I'll give it one or two more episodes. There was enough funny in ep 2 to keep me interested for now, so I'm hopeful. The problem is, as I said, Gad is one of the creators (and I think writers?) and if that's the case, you KNOW you're gonna get a heavy dose of him.

Jenna Elfman looks pretty awesome though.
