Very weird Roamio recording issue tonight with multiple recordings on the same channel.
I have the following setup as Season Passes and these were all set to record this evening. All passes are padded on the end by 2 minutes. Overlap protection is ON. When I looked at my Todo list I was wondering why Tivo wasn't listing a conflict ..but what I found was really odd:
(all program times actual guide times. 2 minutes padding added onto end in season pass settings)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Channel 806
8:30 - 9:00
Top Gear - Channel 872
9:00 - 10:00
19 Kids and Counting - Channel 867
9:00 - 9:30
New Girl - Channel 806
9:00 - 9:30
The Goldbergs - Channel 805
9:01 - 9:31
The Mindy Project - Channel 806
9:30 - 10:00
19 Kids and Counting - Channel 867
9:30 - 10:00
Trophy Wife - Channel 805
9:31 - 10:00
I only put in the Brooklyn Nine-Nine because I got a weird recording, but that doesn't really play into the recording issue.
As you can see above ..I have 4 shows recording at once in the 9-9:30 block. All would extend over by 2 minutes, so when 9:30 rolled around, The Mindy Project should have used the 5th tuner, and 19 Kids should have used the 6th tuner. Now ..when Trophy Wife started at 9:31, all 6 tuners SHOULD have been busy ..but somehow everything was recorded.
Here's what the Tivo actually recorded .all the weirdness is with the Fox shows (Channel 806).
Brooklyn Nine-Nine shows the program recorded time of 54 minutes (in the blue program bar). However, the actual time recorded (the green play bar) was only 32 minutes (as it should have been)
Top Gear recorded fine - 1hr 2 min
Both 19 Kids and Counting recorded fine - 32 minutes each
The Goldbergs recorded fine - 32 minutes
Trophy Wife recorded fine - 31 minutes
Now the weird stuff:
New Girl shows 1 hr 23 minutes in the blue bar. Actual recording time INCLUDED Brooklyn Nine-Nine AND New Girl for a total of 1 hr
The Mindy Project shows 1 hr 53 minutes in the blue bar. Actual recording time INCLUDES Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl AND The Mindy Project for a total of 1 hr 30 min
Definitely weird stuff all going on with those back to back recordings.
Anyone seen anything like this before?
