I really hate the double evictions.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that McCrae's yard was the only one that actually had 2 bones in it.

Elissa really was blinded by Andy - she actually thought McCrae was the extra vote to send Amanda home. Crazy.

Just because you'd hang out with her doesn't make her smart, does it? You only hang out with smart people? Heck, in my family and friends there are smart people and not so smart people. Some of the smart people are total jerks and some of the not so smart people have hearts of gold and are great to hang out with.

At least when I say someone is dumb, I am only referring to how she is/appears on the show. She's done NOTHING in the show to make me believe she's otherwise. She might be a MENSA member, but I don't see it. She gives off the impression that she isn't all that bright. But that's based on game play and and 2 1/2 or so hours of TV time a week.
I think "stupid" is a vile word that is often misused by people who shouldn't necessarily be casting stones. I hate it. It makes me grind my teeth when I hear/read it. That's really my only point.

The point about "hanging out" was just speaking to the fact that people can have value beyond their perceived intelligence...even in a game such as this.

Is Elissa truly "stupid" for being blinded by Andy? ...when pretty much EVERYBODY in the house is also? No.

...and maybe intelligence is overrated if it makes people so smug and feel so superior that they struggle to understand or get along with people. Something to think about, because then that blurs the lines of what intelligence really is.

I love Howard Gardner.

I much prefer to hang with my not so intelligent friends than the more intelligent ones. Way more fun! The smart ones never want to do anything that may have consequences, the not so smart ones are always up for an adventure.

As much as I hate the way Andy played, it might have been the smartest way to play this season with two power couples. First going against one, then, finding another alliance to take out the second. I have come to respect his game more and more, and while I can't out and out root for him, because I don't like playing that way, I think he might be the favorite to win.
At this point, I think you have to give Andy serious props for some excellent gameplay. His ability to deceive people using fake emotions has proven to be incredibly effective. Both Amanda and Elissa were completely snowed. I hate to say it, but of the people left in the house, he probably deserves to win more than anybody.

I'd say Mcrae still has a good shot at winning too...but actually winning that HoH and not being eligible for the next one might finish him off. I'd think he's the next target of the exterminators.
McCrae's goose is cooked. He'll definitely be on the block this week, and if he doesn't win POV, he's going home. It's as simple as that. He just doesn't have the numbers.

Can't believe Julie gave Amanda an kids glove exit interview. Amanda been just as bad as Aaryn and she got off easy.

when Julie said she couldn't disclose anything that happened outside of the house I thought you sure did last week with Arryn with all the racial talk comments. I wonder if she overstepped her bounds? Or she did on purpose because of the topic and controversy.

That what happens when your entire gameplay consists on teaming up with your "girlfriend" and you don't forge any relationships with the other housemates.

I think McCrae had a real chance to go far in this game until he started thinking with the wrong head....which was what? First week?

andy had to confess to amanda in the goodbye message, just in case elissa followed her to jury and they compared notes...he was prepping for final 2.

when he said "it was only a game move", throwing amanda's own words in her face, will probably bite him more than admitting to it and trying to smooth it over with another excuse.

elissa had enough evidence at this point to know better thant to trust andy 100%. if she was up on her game, she would have figured out right away andy betrayed her, and not that mccrae betrayed amanda. she is clueless when it comes to bb gameplay, and it was used against her.

mccrae better win hoh or pov, or he's a gonner, and judd will follow him the next day without hoh or pov.

I have no idea who Howard Gardner is. (well just Googled him :) )

I think you're taking this way too seriously. Again, we are calling someone stupid essentially within the confines of the game. We have no idea what their life is like outside of the game. Saying this was a stupid move or saying that someone is not very bright for believing this or that, isn't a reflection on their full intelligence, or how smart they might be in regards to other things. I'm sure she's "yoga" smart in that she knows more about yoga and it's effects on the body and mind than most humans. We all have some things we are "smart" about. I know I'm "dumb" when it comes to spelling and grammar (as many have recently pointed out to me), so in the context of this forum, I'm stupid when it comes to that.

And sometimes, you get a feel for a person, based on whatever, in Elissa's case, her voice, or her reactions to things, or whatever the makes you conclude certain things.

It's a strange case for McRae in that if he didn't win HoH and went up on the block against Elissa, he might have survived that, because there's a reasonable argument that Elissa is more dangerous at the end. But him winning HoH guarantees he's going up this coming week and forces him to win Veto to save himself.

On the other hand, if McRae didn't win this week, Elissa might have, since she was second if I recall.

I always got the feeling watching Elissa play, that despite what she was saying about playing to win, that her being there was something she got talked into doing. Maybe by Rachel, or maybe the BB producers. Or maybe it was that rumored extra stipend she got. From day one she never seemed comfortable playing and she always seemed confused to me. Almost as if she had no idea how to play the game.

I think she might have gotten worse had there not been such a tight time constraint because of the double eviction.
Speaking of the double eviction, it definitely screwed any chance Elissa had to remain in the game. McCrae falsely assumed that she went back on her word. If it was a normal week, she would have had time to convince McCrae that it was Andy who betrayed him. I don't think she would have been successful, but at least she would have had a fighting chance.

Yeah I don't see it. She really is a dumb player. She gets in a position to take out a power couple as HOH...one in which she had already said she didn't like amanda and she puts up mccrae and Aaryn...simply because she didn't like Aaryn. If she was being smart she'd have put up both. It was only AFTER DR interference that she decided to backdoor amanda. Aaryn would have been the perfect person to sit beside at the end with everything she said.
IDK, Aaryn won comps and did the bidding of McCrae and Amanda. Out of those three Aaryn was much better at the comps. Much of their power was social. For whatever reason people were afraid of Amanda. Till the last couple comps she didn't win any comps and hadn't really shown much (other then the baseball catch thing). She was able to turn it on a bit. She did pretty well at that bowling thing as well she missed it by a second or two and was targeted by the others.

I do agree it was probably personal but getting Aaryn out ahead of those two really wasn't a horrible move either.

I was a bit surprised that McCrae didn't fall on his sword and let her win the POV in the bowling comp. That and he didn't use it on her and try to work some votes to save both. Perhaps this might have added to why Elisa thought maybe McCrae stabbed her in the back instead of Andy. He has fooled most of the house this season. He is a weasel and I hope they figure it out before he wins the money.

I think he's forged plenty of relationships. In fact, he's easily one of the most well liked players in the house. He also formed some alliances that could have potentially carried him to the end. His main downfall is that his girlfriend turned out to be a psycho mega-*****.

i figured it was the smartest move for both of them. amanda was such a big target, no matter what, she was a goner. at least mccrae had a few relationships in the house, and could find a way to go forward in the game. if he does move to florida with her, they could share any money he might win, and he wouldn't be flat broke.

I will second the conspiracy that BB producers only had 2 bones in specific houseguests "yards". If I was playing the game regardless if the HOH competition was over I would have kept searching for my 2. LOL I thought it relevant that they asked them to IMMEDIATELY leave the competition and go back inside. I understand live tv constraints and all but I would have wanted to know I actually had a chance to win and it was not setup.

As to the ongoing conversation about Elissa's intelligence I think we have all come to the conclusion that this cast of players were some of the worst Big Brother players in some time. Usually you get a couple bad players in the mix but this year I think the majority of "smart" players were evicted early. Not to say the earlier houseguests were more intelligent but as to playing the game they would have been better players overall in my opinion. Elissa could not hide her emotions well, she could not think through her moves more then a week or two.

McRea does not have a chance in my opinion to get to the end without a win streak of vetos.

Andy has to be given props as he is still going strong with his cons.

GM so loves the Thug life style.

Spencer must have a lifevest in this game... 8x nominated?? jeez

Judd - You won another competition - keep doing that and you may have a chance to win this!

Except that SHE thought that McRae had voted out Amanda.

I don't like double evictions. I think it goes against the spirit of the game. Just like the MVP did earlier this season. So much of the game happens between competitions where things can change on actions and reactions to what houseguests do. How many times have we seen over the years where a "pawn" ended up going home. That can never happen on a double eviction.

In this case though, I think Elissa goes home anyway, unless he could flip someone from the Exterminators, and the only one who would possibly flip would be Andy.

you're not alone, but it surprises me, since the de has been around for so long. the trouble comes when an alliance doesn't prepare for the de, and are blindsided during the live show.

i think it's a great way to shake up the game, and it makes it more entertaining to me.

True, but if they had time to compare notes, it's possible that they would have realized that they were both played by Andy.

I agree. The double evictions mess with the natural flow of the show, as they don't give people a chance to strategize. Someone can be playing a great game and get totally screwed by the double eviction.
