Big Brother 09/05/13 - Another double eviction night

I really hate the double evictions.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that McCrae's yard was the only one that actually had 2 bones in it.

Elissa really was blinded by Andy - she actually thought McCrae was the extra vote to send Amanda home. Crazy.

Man - you're always very quick to call people stupid, aren't you?

Putting trust in Andy was not stupid, it was naive. The people in the house don't have the same data that we do, to make decisions with.

She was smart enough to put her emotions aside and decide to try to keep Amanda.

I officially dislike everyone that is left in the house.

In brianric's defense, Elissa actually is stupid. Sub 90 IQ level stupid. And I'm relieved that she is gone. I disliked her more than any of the petty racists in the house, and now the show is denied its savior.

Imperfect though it is, Andy's game deserves more respect than it gets, but I've disliked him from week one, so I don't want to be the one to praise him.

A Spencer/GM final two would be a fitting finale to an awful season.

Pretty much agree with everything here. Funny how Elissa rode coattails until Helen was gone, then tried to play her own game, and totally screwed up. I lean toward stupid, but obviously I don't know everything that goes on 24/7. It was a fine night for THIS BB fan, seeing big mouthed spoiled brat Amanda and prissy full of herself Elissa go the same night. I'm interested to see how McRae plays the rest of the game. As much as I hate the way Andy played, it might have been the smartest way to play this season with two power couples. First going against one, then, finding another alliance to take out the second. I have come to respect his game more and more, and while I can't out and out root for him, because I don't like playing that way, I think he might be the favorite to win.

I'd say Mcrae still has a good shot at winning too...but actually winning that HoH and not being eligible for the next one might finish him off. I'd think he's the next target of the exterminators.

The one thing I miss....the weekly visits to the Jury House. I used to love the reactions of the existing Jury members when a new person came in. And their reaction to the video of the past week gave some insight to what they are thinking when it comes to who might win. I'd rather see that, than some stupid feature on "showmances" that they had a week or so ago. There's enough internet crap out there on that sort of thing that I don't need a feature on it, taking up vital time.

Ditto, I really liked those spots.

Did anyone else find it surprising that during Andy's farewell speech to Amanda that he outed himself as the one who voted her out? That could come back to bite him in the you know where.
I was surprised too. I am not sure yet if that's a great strategy. Unless he thinks that the majority of the jury is against McRanda, in which case he looks like a hero. I guess that's his thinking. Amanda seemed totally shocked, and Andy played it well in the house. So much so that Elissa seriously thought that McRae had turned on Amanda.

Where in the world did that come from? I literally lol'd when she said that.
I think she tried to reconcile who would have turned on Amanda if Andy was INSISTING that he didn't. Someone with half a brain would have HAD to come to the conclusion that it was Andy. I'm STILL shocked that Andy's game hasn't been figured out yet, proving that these may be the dumbest players ever. Plus, if they can let GM run the house at the end of the game, that says something about these people. Amanda for all her great game play early, just got blinded by her own success and forgot how to play the game. She and McRae could have run the game until the end if she was just a LITTLE smarter and not so smug and self centered.

Yeah I don't see it. She really is a dumb player. She gets in a position to take out a power couple as HOH...one in which she had already said she didn't like amanda and she puts up mccrae and Aaryn...simply because she didn't like Aaryn. If she was being smart she'd have put up both. It was only AFTER DR interference that she decided to backdoor amanda. Aaryn would have been the perfect person to sit beside at the end with everything she said.

Then after wasting her own HoH, the DR interferes AGAIN and convinces Elissa to team up with Amanda....something that any sane person wouldn't have done because of the power couple again.

She played a poor game and only lasted as long as she did because the producers wanted her too.

I'm not implying that I think she is a Mensa candidate...I am just sensitive to people casting judgement on people's intelligence in general, particularly when you have nothing but a producer's TV edit to pull from.

Stupid is a four letter word in my world. ;)

I would hang out with Elissa far far far before I would hang out with anybody else in that house...and the fact that she is not a diabolical evil genius schemer, does not make her stupid. That's all I'm sayin'.

Bye bye yoga.

My take on her.

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt"

When she talks she sounds stupid.

I was glad that Elissa followed Amanda. When McCrae goes, I think they will be even worse than they were in the house by openly having sex everywhere in the house especially since there are no cameras active 24/7.
I knew Amanda was going to blame editing on making her look like a bully but I'm glad Julie Chen set her straight when she said we saw it all. I didn't see it all because I didn't subscribe to live feeds this year but do watch BBAD.

Just because you'd hang out with her doesn't make her smart, does it? You only hang out with smart people? Heck, in my family and friends there are smart people and not so smart people. Some of the smart people are total jerks and some of the not so smart people have hearts of gold and are great to hang out with.

At least when I say someone is dumb, I am only referring to how she is/appears on the show. She's done NOTHING in the show to make me believe she's otherwise. She might be a MENSA member, but I don't see it. She gives off the impression that she isn't all that bright. But that's based on game play and and 2 1/2 or so hours of TV time a week.
