Well, Dane proved himself to be a complete idiot! Whether Keith and the crew were right or not, sucker-punching Freddie is not going to make ANY captain want to keep you around.

Felt bad for the Hillstrands on the Time Bandit. Those pots were coming in well stocked, but 95% had to be thrown back - but dayum, 719 at the end made up for it!

...and Elliot, if you want to try to speak to your women, don't P them off in the first place!

A monster wave almost washes Elliott's entire crew overboard and he just yawns and doesn't even bother to ask if everyone is ok. Then a crewmember says they haven't had a safety meeting and he doesn't know where his survival suit is.

Talk about a disaster waiting to happen. Not to mention a visit from the Coast Guard after this aired.

Dane really did sound like the little kid who's been picked on/beaten up by a bully and had had enough. I kind of understand it.

I really like Freddy, but he has been very nasty this trip.

Totally unacceptable and I was amazed! I remember previous seasons on the other boats that they all had to have a drill and had to get into the suits in a certain amount of time.

That Elliot is an idiot from top to bottom!

on the Bait, Sig told him he should stop listening to music and talking on the phone cause the distraction will eventually cause an accident. Elliott basically said he's not going to stop, he's done it this way the whole time, dude thinks he's inventing the wheel for crabbing. I expect him to be on Facebook next EP. :)

Thought Kiska Sea was a bigger boat than the NW since Kiska is considered a 'hi-liner' and catches more crab but its the same length. Guess the captain manning the hydros allows the other guys to turn pots faster as there is one more guy at the table. You got to think in really bad weather they have to shut things down earlier cause it would be a hairy to run the boat and hydros with those super waves.

I did put this on the wrong week, but at the time this thread didn't exist. I'll repost it here in the off chance someone wants to flame me.

I'm not sure that greenhorn fits the definition of pu**y, it took some balls for him to decide to attack on his own terms rather than wait to be ambushed. I think he's stupid, but I don't think he's a pu**y. So what liability does Keith have for a workplace environment where threats of bodily harm by an employee towards another one are acceptable, and shoving and threats of bodily harm by the captain of the boat towards a greenhorn are acceptable?

Keith is a mess, he has short man syndrome and likes to be the bully when there is relatively safety that he won't get pounded on. So far we've seen him go after a cameraman, greenhorn and his own brother, all 3 the safest targets on the boat. One of the Hilstrands got sick of his act and pushed him down, he wasn't such a tough guy then.

If I were an employment attorney, I'd be calling the greenhorn and Discovery for a copy of the tape.

Hmmm...what other work environment has you awake days at a time increasing the risk of injury by multiples besides perhaps the military...if OSHA isn't regulating that a shove here and there isn't going to cause waves. If Freddy did actually attack him unprovoked then yes greenhorn might have cause which is why Keith told Freddy to stay away from him.

Everything on this show is orchestrated anymore. I no more believe that the kid was hired for his experience or physical ability than I would have been. He was planted on the boat to create some "drama" and probably will get paid very well for his acting.

What about the other guys on the boat that didn't get a mohawk? No pressure on them was there? This show is contrived and not very believable anymore.
