My wife and I thought it was great when we watched it on Showtime. I say it's well worth the time to watch. The acting was great and the production values, like costumes and set design, were fantastic. When on Showtime, it had a lot of nudity and sex scenes which I'm sure will be cut out of the BBCA version.
Uggh, I hadn't even thought about it being edited. I refuse to watch edited version of (almost) any show. This would be a deal-killer to me. I'll see if they flash up the "This show has been..." disclaimer at the beginning.
If you have Netflix streaming, the whole series is available there. It would be uneditted, commercial free and probably in HD (or at least widescreen).
I found it an enjoyable watch overall. More sex early. More politics and intrique later.
He got married around 6 times, depending on what you count as a marriage.

Do we know for sure BBCA edits? I recorded a free-standing episode (ie, not part of the marathon, which is a week away) just to check it out, and it had a violence/language disclaimer at the beginning, but no "edited for..." comment. Which I thought they had to display if it was edited.
OTOH, there was no nekkid bodies disclaimer either.
So... does BBCA ever show nudity when it's part of a show?
PS: From what I understand, Netflix thru TiVo doesn't display captions. I'm a 100% captions kinda guy.

Do they have to say whether the show is edited? Syndicated shows are usually edited and they don't say they are edited. I thought that was just for movies.

Ok, I recorded a couple of random episodes, and they are clearly edited. I really don't care about boobs and butts (well, I do, but it's not a factor when choosing shows to watch), but I don't like to watch edited series.
I still have all 46 (48?) Breaking Bads on one of my older TiVos, that I keep telling myself I'm gonna watch. From an AMC marathon some time ago.

I liked The Tudors. I thought the show got better in later seasons. In the first season, it seemed like they were working with a lower budget. There was some really bad CGI used for castles, etc. I didn't notice that after the first season.
My TiVo Premiere has English subtitles for The Tudors via Netflix. They did just release a new Netflix app, so they might have added the functionality.
Breaking Bad is also on Netflix. With subtitles.
